Capcom didn’t wait much longer and instead announced that the Street Fighter V multiplayer beta is now delayed for an indefinite time. According to the Japanese company, the beta’s aim was to fix these kinds of server issues, but seeing that this was too much of a problem for them, they delayed the first beta phase and until it restarts, the servers will receive an extended maintenance.
To make this situation fair to everyone, this will not count towards the previously announced beta test allotments – there’s still at least three betas until the release. Those, who participated in this disrupted first experiment, will receive some in-game reward for their effort. However, no further details were mentioned about this. The European and the Asian region will not be ignored either after limiting the beta to the North American region on Friday and Saturday.
At least we got to know that Capcom will put more effort into Street Fighter V, which will soon return… at least they now have experience with server issues. We might get a way better product in the end!
