UPDATE: Meanwhile, the producer of the game, Hajime Tabata has said that the game’s release date is set to the year of 2016. It’s just one decade after the announcement of Versus XIII
The new Final Fantasy XV trailer – called Dawn – is giving us a brief recap of the storyline, preceding the game’s happenings, so we will have an overview of who did what and where and with whom in the preceding fifteen years. The title of the trailer is for a reason.
Square Enix is still developing Final Fantasy XV in a Duke Nukem Forever attitude – remember, in the previous console generation, the project was originally called Final Fantasy XV -, as they still don’t tell us any sort of a release date, while they keep chucking out HD remakes and ports of previous Final Fantasy titles (count them: X/X-2, Type-0, VII is in progress, XII is rumoured…). Their business strategy is really weird, but we’re outsiders, so we can’t really do anything about it…
The world can be saved by a new hero, who will definitely powered by a father-son relation. At least it’s not a soap operaish storyline, because we’d lost track of the story in the first ten minutes or even less. Let’s hope the game won’t slide over to the next console generation AGAIN, but seeing the Episode Duscae demo, it’s unlikely to happen.
