Minecraft PlayStation 4 version coming in August

The indie hit Minecraft keeps chugging along onto every new platform imaginable. Now developer Mojang has confirmed that a Minecraft PlayStation 4 version will be released in August. The game will be coming to the Xbox One and Vita in August as well.

Minecraft has sold millions of copies since its release, and players have come up with all sorts of weird creations. In fact, the PlayStation 4 version will give them even bigger game worlds to play with. Not only that, players will be able to import their game saves from the PS3 into the PS4.

However, there will be no cross-play between the PS3 and PS4 edition, and some of the DLC skins texture packs may not be available on the PS4 as well.

The game will retail for $20 on the PlayStation 4, however, if you already own the game on the PS3, the price is only $5 bucks. The $5 upgrade offer will last until at least a year after the release of the Minecraft PlayStation 4 version.
