We like IGN and all, but sometimes they can make a big fool of themselves. After they posted the “sad news of The Last Guardian beign cancelled, Scott Rohde, the PlayStation’s Head for Sony Worldwide Studios America has stated that despite IGN’s article The Last Guardian hasn’t been cancelled at all.
“and I laughed at this rumor over dinner. The Last Guardian has NOT been cancelled”

True to be told, it has been quite a few years since we last saw The Last Guardian and since then, time and time again various Sony officials have stated that the game was still in development. Still, other than Sony’s word, we haven’t had much to inspire any confidence that the project was proceeding as planed, instead of being stuck in development hell.
Many thought Sony would re-reveal The Last Guardian as a PlayStation 4 title this year, similar to how Square Enix re-revealed Final Fantasy XV (or Final Fantasy Versus XIII as it was known for so long) during Sony’s E3 2013 press conference.
