Payday 2 coming to the PS4: “Better late than ever” edition

Payday 2 developer Overkill Software and publisher 505 Games have announced that the heist-based PC shooter is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Payday 2 Crimewave Edition, as it’s called, will be coming to the PlayStation 4 with “enhanced features and a stash of new bonus content” as the publisher puts it. Payday 2 is a co-op shooter with a banks and robbers type of gameplay, where players are tasked to carry out heists and more.

The recently announced Battlefield Hardline is very similar to Payday 2, although its multiplayer is much larger and more encompassing, alongside the usual Battlefield fanfare.

The publisher didn’t mention any release date for Payday 2 Crimewave Edition on the PS4, but we’re expecting a Fall 2014 launch. The PC version launched last august.
