Project Morpheus PS4 VR headset “is 85% done” says Yoshida

Sony announced its PlayStation 4 virtual reality headset earlier this year, and work has been steadily continuing ever since. Developers have received the test versions, which have gotten “incredible response”, and Sony is scheduled to launch the VR headset next year.

President Shuhei Yoshida of Sony Worldwide Studios, announced that the company is “85% complete” with Project Morpheus. Talking to a journalist of the Wall Street Journal, Yoshida said that the company has “finished 85 percent of the work needed to make the product available”, but did not indicated a specific release date. Earlier this Summer Sony confirmed that Project Morpheus unfortunately will not be finished until the end of 2014.
