Dying Light’s physical release is finally announced in Europe!

If you were wonder, how much you have to wait more for the physical copies of Dying Light will to arrive in Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East wonder no more. Techland finally announced in their communiqué, that as they the game will be released physically on February 27, 2015. The revised release date follows news of the boxed version’s delay this weekend. The North and South American release has not been affected, with physical copies still due to arrive next Tuesday, January 27.

There are also a delay with digital release in Europe on PS4 and Xbox One. Over the weekend, Techland announced that the game’s European digital release had been brought forward to January 27. To make matters worse, now they have announced that it’s been pushed back to January 28.

The digital PC version is still set to launch globally next Tuesday, January 27.

As an “appreciation of your continued support”, Techland will also be releasing online multiplayer mode Be The Zombie for free to all players in all territories.

The DLC was previously announced as a retailer exclusive pre-order bonus.

“Dear gamers, as you already know, today we detailed our launch timing for Dying Light,” Techland said in a statement provided to VideoGamer.com. “Although the changes affect only the release of boxed copies in certain territories, we want to show all of you our appreciation for your continued support. Thus, we’re really happy to announce that ‘Be the Zombie’ will be available for free to everyone, on all platforms, in all territories.

“We’ll also be giving away extra weapon dockets to everyone who pre-ordered Dying Light and signed up at Dockets.DyingLightGame.com.”

“We want to thank you for your patience and support in this matter and can’t wait for you to enjoy playing Dying Light and invading other players’ game in the ‘Be the Zombie’ mode.”

It’s not clear as to why the physical release of Dying Light was delayed in Europe in the first place.
