We’re slowly approaching the release date of Mortal Kombat X. There’s likely some of you out there, who would like to get a brief taste from the game to help decide whether you want the retail version or not. I have some bad news: Ed Boon (one of the creators of the franchise) has said there’s no way MKX will receive a demo.

According to the producer Shaun Himmerick, the reasoning behind this is the lack of time for development and they decided to rather focus on the better quality of the retail version. Having not enough time is usually a bad omen, but we’ll see if we worried for nothing or not…

Another news piece is that we can expect a new livestream, a new character reveal and a new trailer in February. This is confirmed by the NetherRealm community specialist Tyler Lansdown. Rumours say that it’s going to Mileena who’s being announced. We’ll see about that very soon…
