PS4: A big leadership in Europe as well, according to Sony

We already knew about the PlayStation 4‘s remarkable sales data (we are expecting the 25 million line to be crossed very soon). We also saw, how the United States is split up between the PS4 and the Xbox One. However, no European data has been really said by Sony about it… up to now. Jim Ryan, the president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has said a few pieces of information.

On the European market, the PlayStation 4 has a market share between 70 and 90 percent, as well as having the lead position in each country. That makes it quite a one-sided battle against Microsoft‘s Xbox One. While the Xbox One has some chance for victory in the US (taking 3 months out of 18 so far), it really doesn’t stand that good in Europe and it has no chance in Japan. Last week, only 100 consoles were sold in the latter are, while the PS4 sold 11 thousand units, albeit it is less than what the 3DS and the Wii U sold. (Also, the PS Vita sold around 10 thousand units last week, as the handheld is successful in Japan, but it’s not enough for greater support…)

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
