New sales data has arrived from the United States – as this is a very important market for all three console manufacturers, it’s always a good idea to keep an eye on the American market’s trends. Unsurprisingly, th PlayStation 4 has beat the Xbox One yet again, despite Microsoft’s console even getting a price cut in the process! Sony also stated that the PS4’s success this month mainly was because of the Batman: Arkham Knight PS4 bundle, which turned out to be a brilliant idea. Sony also won the software market battle too, the PlayStation 4 sold the most games in the month of June.
Great results; Sony is now planning to take the July victory with the updated PS4 model. The CUH-1200 PlayStation 4 will be lighter and consume less power (you can read more about it here), as well as arriving with a 1 terabyte version too, not just 500 gigabytes.
What can Microsoft do to catch the attention? Call of Duty has moved to the Sony side, Rise of the Tomb Raider will not launch until the autumn, so in the short term isn’t looking promising for the greens…
