Uncharted 4: A Thief‘s End got delayed for the second time. Originally, Naughty Dog‘s game was dated for the autumn of 2015, but it got delayed to March 2016. It got another delay, so we won’t be able to play Nathan Drake‘s final story in March. However, what kind of jerk move is it to announce a delay of one of the most important PS4-exclusives right now? Unbelievable!
Let us quote one paragraph of Neil Druckmann’s and Bruce Straley’s announcement from the PlayStation Blog:
„[…]we need a bit more time to finish the game so that it meets our standards and vision[…] This is our largest Uncharted game to date, and the team has been working incredibly hard to meet the challenge of closing out the game’s development on time. However, as we approached our final deadlines and started wrapping up the game’s levels, we realized that several key sequences needed extra resources to bring them to the finish line.[…]”
In our opinion, that means they weren’t able to fully keep the 30 frames per second framerate in the single player campaign, which would be a huge failure for both Sony and Naughty Dog.
Let’s just get the release date in: the new launch day is now April 26 in North American and April 27 in Europe.
