EA Sports Had To Apologize For UFC 2!

Electronic Arts isn’t on their knees because of a sub-par quality game. In fact, UFC‘s second installment is better than the first one. Instead, they got into trouble due to a seemingly harmless winning animation of a particular UFC fighter.

The game has a Muslim fighter. He’s called Khabib Nurmagomedov. His winning animation shows a hand gesture of drawing a cross, which, obviously, is related to Christianity. You can take a look at said animation here.

Nurmagomedov quickly reacted to this on his Twitter, saying the following: „I’m a MUSLIM and I’m not Baptized. Please EA Sports, edit my after fight celebration. I have a lot of Muslim fans and you have to respect it.” Thankfully, EA Sports responded in no time and they assured Nurmagomedov that the next update will fix this issue. All’s well that ends well.

At least, it was spotted barely a week after the game’s initial release and not months after.
