While Sony is reportedly developing a stronger PlayStation 4, it’s Microsoft‘s turn to do something. Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox division responds.
Spencer doesn’t think that Microsoft will do something similar as Sony. To quote him, „I’m not a big fan of Xbox One Point Five – if we want to move forward, it has to be a significant step.” So if the PlayStation 4K becomes reality (and there’s close to zero chance of it not happening!), the difference between Sony and Microsoft will be even bigger. Not only the sales are in Sony’s favor, but the PlayStation 4 is also stronger than the Xbox One. Spencer would want a new console instead. Perhaps Microsoft is preparing to reveal what they have in store in June? That would be intriguing: if they announce a new console at E3, the Xbox One wouldn’t even have been on the market for three years without the successor getting announced! (With the Wii U, it’d be less than four years if the NX gets revealed in June.)
What will Microsoft do against the PlayStation offensive?
