Beyond Good & Evil (2): Ubisoft Doesn’t Give Up!

Beyond Good & Evil is a game that many gamers would accept a sequel to it (including us, too), but despite hearing multiple rumors about some development possibly going on, BG&E doesn’t get officially announced. Maybe now?

Ubisoft trademarked the Beyond Good & Evil name at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). This move means the French company doesn’t plan to give up their franchise just yet! Michel Ancel’s role is questionable in the project, though: last time we saw him, he introduced his new game called WILD. Maybe Ubisoft is waiting until the E3 to announce what they have planned.

There have been rumors about Nintendo stepping in with a wad of yen to finance the sequel’s development. In return, Ubisoft would have to make Beyond Good & Evil 2 as a Nintendo NX-exclusive game. (We have seen this happening already: Nintendo paid PlatinumGames to develop Bayonetta 2 exclusively for the Wii U.)

Maybe Jade returns… hopefully not with just a remake.
