Dying Light Developer Evolves Into A Publisher!

The Polish developer Techland goes a step further not just to develop games but also publish them.

After nearly two decades, the team is going through evolution. The crew, previously responsible for games such as Dead Island and Dying Light, wants to publish other devs’ games.

Our Polish friends’ aim is to release two AAA, and four digital-only smaller titles each year. On average, we could get a game from Techland Publishing bimonthly, and an AAA project per six months.

Techland Publishing‘s philosophy aims at supporting developers that make something different, yet fun. Techland‘s CEO, Pawel Marchewka says „We believe in a flexible and open publishing philosophy, based on respect for the players. We will encourage and financially support developers through investing in bold, unconventional games with great entertainment value.”

CD Project has pulled it off already, good luck to Techland!

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
