Gamescom: No Sony Presence This Year?

Sony might be skipping this year’s Gamescom according to DualShockers.

After E3, Jim Ryan, the head of marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment admitted that they are not sure whether they will attend Gamescom or not.

This move doesn’t bode well for the reveal of the PlayStation 4 NEO. It has been already confirmed to be in development, and Sony also said that they don’t want to rush its presentation as how Microsoft did with its Project Scorpio. As we have heard rumors about the Nintendo NX possibly getting revealed at the Tokyo Game Show in September, presenting the PS4 NEO in Europe doesn’t seem to be a bad idea.

If the Japanese firm doesn’t go to Cologne, then they will probably focus on the Tokyo Game Show, or they’ll blast us away at the PlayStation Experience… unless they’ll pull their punches at the Paris Game Week.

If the current console generation’s leader isn’t sure about attending Gamescom, it doesn’t bode well for this event at all.
