EA Sports‘ FIFA and Konami‘s Pro Evolution Soccer continue to rivalise, and this is continuing in 2016 as well. Having your game out before the other team can net you some advantage.
This year, Konami is hitting the stores first. They revealed the release date for PES 2017, which will be available two weeks before FIFA 17. Pro Evolution Soccer will launch on September 15 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, while FIFA 17 drops on September 29. Meanwhile, FIFA is looking for their next cover star, and we wrote about that yesterday here. There’s also the usual preordering bonus: if you pay early, you will get exclusive content for the myClub mode.
This year, PES will have a harder challenge: FIFA will use the Frostbite engine. May the better football game win in the autumn.
