The Farm 51 – maybe it’s time to learn the Polish developers’ name?!
Cole Black wakes up in an abandoned asylum with just a single memory. Instead of having full asylum, he remembers only one thing: trying to save a teenager girl who had a bomb on his chest.
As the game’s description says, players will constantly be trying to figure out what is real, what is justice, and to try and understand the past – all choices will have an impact on Black’s future. To come back to reality, we will “travel into the distressing and tortuous depths” of Black’s mind to find out why he is at the asylum, plus the teenage girl’s identity is another subject matter.
A twist: the single-player portion of the game will feature enemies which also exist in the world of players online. What does that mean, you ask? Well, players will never know if the enemy they are fighting is AI or if there is a real person controlling it – a player can be better than the AI after all.
A twist in development: the game was announced in 2013 with a 2015 release date, and now it’s slated for launch in spring 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
