Console owners might appreciate this game’s free weekend next week.

PlayStation Blog announced that Blizzard‘s popular team-based shooter Overwatch would receive a free weekend!

The free weekend starts on September 9 at 11 AM PT/2 PM ET, and it will end on September 12 4 PM PT/7 PM ET. Good news: you will not need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play! (Xbox-owners are out of luck again: a Gold subscription is required!)

The game will need 9 GB on PS4 and 15 GB on Xbox One. It will allow you to play as all 22 characters, all maps, and the Quick Play, Custom Games, and Weekly Brawl game modes. You can level up and open Loot Boxes, too – you can move over your progress if you buy Overwatch: Origins Edition.

The previous rumors about a free trial have been confirmed – we wonder when the PC will get a free weekend. (Probably later in September!)
