Shocker Exposed in Surfaced Spider-Man: Homecoming Set Photos?

MOVIE NEWS – Not long ago, a rumored cast list leaked for Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, which exposed a number of intriguing details.

The list apparently confirmed an earlier rumor that actress Angourie Rice was portraying Betty Brant, and that Bokeem Woodbine will be The Shocker, a superhero, who may have finally emerged in new set photos. While are still not sure if the character in these photos is indeed The Shocker, the costume definitely seems to match up with The Shocker‘s costume from the comic books.

The Shocker, a.k.a. Herman Schultz, was created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr. in 1967, and appeared first in The Amazing Spider-Man #46 in March 1967. Herman Schultz besides being a high school dropout was also a brilliant engineer, who used two gauntlets he invented that emit high-energy blasts to break out of prison, after he was caught for a succession of burglaries. He is told to be one of the best safe-crackers in the world and became well known as a master thief. The set photos which were shown on Twitter give us a glimpse at the costume, but we don’t know anything else about the scene in question.

We also don’t know for sure if it is in fact Bokeem Woodbine in this costume, or if it is a stunt performer.
