Overwatch Reaches Another Milestone

Blizzard‘s game celebrates another significant result.

We expected this to happen. Back in October, when we wrote about Overwatch reaching twenty million players, our prediction was that they could reach 25 million by the end of the year… and we weren’t far off! Blizzard confirmed on Twitter via the game’s official account that the team-based shooter has over twenty-five million players total on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The game is still a financial success for Blizzard, especially via the loot boxes – thanks to the decent sales, the developers can afford to create special events every two to three months, all coming with exclusive loot boxes. The events regularly pull back players into Overwatch, and you know how the rest goes.

We predict that Overwatch will crack thirty million by June…
