Mass Effect: Andromeda: PlayStation 4 Pro-Xbox One S-PC Comparison [VIDEO]

Bioware is pumping out videos at a ridiculous pace during the last week before the game’s launch.

Thanks to IGN, we can see how Mass Effect: Andromeda looks on Microsoft’s Xbox One S, Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro, and on PC. The comparison is a little awkward, as the regular PlayStation 4 isn’t included, but if IGN’s reasoning is that they wanted to go for a 4K resolution, it makes sense. The PC has the advantage, but the PS4 Pro also looks great – the Xbox One S has nothing to worry about as well.

The second video has spoilers, as it shows the opening mission (in return, it is 50 minutes long). It is followed by Drack’s and Jaal’s introduction video, the Pathfinder‘s introduction, the multiplayer‘s trailer, the two character creation videos, and the official gameplay series’ fourth episode with the multiplayer.

In North America, the pre-load on PS4 is available – you’ll need 42.9 gigabytes of free space. The Xbox One pre-load is available worldwide – 42.19 GB required -, on PC, you’ll need about 55-60 gigs on your hard drive for Mass Effect: Andromeda, which has over 1200 speaking characters, as well as a ton of microtransactions in multiplayer.

UK-based ShopTo revealed their pricing for the in-game points that you can spend in multiplayer:

  • 500 points – £3.95
  • 1020 points – £7.96
  • 2150 points – £15.95
  • 3250 points – £24.95
  • 5750 points – £39.95
  • 12,000 points – £79.96

You can spend almost twice the game’s price on multiplayer, wow. Now that we talk about multiplayer, we learned that at the game’s launch, five maps would be available. Firebase Zero, an outpost built into an asteroid; Firebase Icebreaker, a fuelling station on an icy planet; Firebase Magma, a foundry on a river of lava; Firebase Derelict, in an abandoned kett ship; and Firebase Sandstorm, in the middle of a desert. All alien races, as well as 25 character kits and over 40 weapons, will also be available. There are no class restrictions, and all team members will receive the EXP equally to avoid „racing” to the top.

The game’s out on March 21 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
