We’re serious: this new game is nothing short of crazy.
For example, who else would think of making the Slime, the almost obligatory character in the Dragon Quest franchise, into a controller?! That’s the case, folks: 4Gamer reports that you can buy a Slime DualShock 4, made by Hori, for about 90 dollars. (They already did something similar in the PlayStation 2 era as well.) Square Enix was brave in another aspect, too, aside from developing the game for the Switch as well.
They thought that it’s a wonderful idea to sell both the Nintendo 3DS and the PlayStation 4 version in ONE box! That’s right; the 135-dollar package contains the two different editions of the game in one fake book each. We think this has never happened before: two versions of the same game made for two different console makers with two different styles sold together.
To end the article, the Japanese release date is July 29 (Switch port is coming later than that). There’s also a gameplay video for the 3DS and the PS4 version each.
