Payday 2: The Gangsters Are Moving To A New Platform [VIDEO]

Surprise! We didn’t expect this to happen.

Payday 2, which originally launched in 2013 on PC, has been available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well via the Crimewave Edition. However, Overkill has been working on porting their game to another platform: during the latest Nintendo Direct, they have announced a port to the Nintendo Switch with a winter release date! The big N only said that „a huge amount of Payday 2 content” is slated to arrive in 2017.

It looks like Nintendo has learned the lesson with the failure of the Wii U – they need bigger AAA titles to be available on the Switch, and if they keep the pace up, thanks to the easy development, the platform could be holding a candle to the PlayStation 4 (Pro) and the Xbox One (Project Scorpio)!
