Pr(a)ey (for the Gods): Bethesda Pushing a Small Team to Change Their Game’s Name [VIDEO]

The company might have crossed a line on aggressive brand protection.

Seriously: Bethesda has contacted a THREE (!) men developer team to make sure that they don’t use the word Prey in their game’s title. Because of this move, No Matter Studios’ little team works on a game that now has a new title: Praey For The Gods. They don’t want to spend their Kickstarter budget on a lawsuit that they would lose, and rather focus on the game’s development, plus they have been planning to modify the E into an AE.

However, think about it: No Matter Studios did not „steal” the game title, as the word Prey was just part of it! Bethesda, this was perhaps a little overkill on your part…

Have Arkane’s Prey’s launch trailer before its release on May 5 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Also, the day-1 patch will be 1.3 GB, which will address audiovisual, as well as gameplay issues. For example, some enemies won’t be able to shoot through walls any more.

And here’s a video from the fantasy action-adventure Praey for the Gods:
