Emily Blunt Has Revealed Disclosure Day

MOVIE NEWS – Steven Spielberg returns this summer to one of his favorite genres with another story about the arrival of extraterrestrials.

Steven Spielberg is returning this summer to one of his favorite genres: he is telling another story about the arrival of extraterrestrials. Details of Disclosure Day were kept secret for a long time, but as the release approaches, more and more information is coming to light. Emily Blunt plays Margaret Fairchild, a TV weather presenter who suddenly speaks in a strange, clicking language during a live broadcast, suggesting that she is somehow connected to the aliens. Some corners of the internet even began speculating that she herself might be extraterrestrial.

Blunt has now personally debunked that theory. Universal Pictures released a short video in which the actress introduces her character and, without spoilers, clarifies the basic shape of the film’s plot. It is now clear that Blunt’s character is not an alien, just as the other protagonist, Dr. Daniel Kellner (Josh O’Connor), is not one either.

The two of them possess knowledge about the extraterrestrials, and certain government circles want to silence them. The aliens have in fact been here for quite some time, but this is being covered up because those in power fear the collapse of the existing world order. The main keeper of the secret, and also the story’s central villain, is the government agent played by Colin Firth, who embodies the paranoia of those holding power in the film.

Disclosure Day will be released in Hungarian cinemas on June 10, 2026.
