It’s Official: There Will Be A PlayStation 5!

Yesterday, we already mentioned it, but now it’s time to look into it in detail.

In November, you’ll have the option to choose from PlayStation 4 Slim/Xbox One S, as well as PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X in the stores. You may feel – and for a good reason – that the two upgraded console versions could be like smartphone upgrades.

Shawn Layden, Sony’s American president, says that they are not prepared yet (?!) for regular console updates, according to German Golem. Instead, they will stick to the ordinary console generations, which means that PlayStation 5 will be having entirely new hardware under the hood.

With the new console, Sony should go for constant 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, with no second thoughts. The PlayStation 4 Pro cannot do it, so Sony has their work cut out for them.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
