Ubisoft: The Xbox One X Will Boost The Industry

Yves Guillemot, the CEO of Ubisoft, believes that Microsoft‘s console will give the industry a boost.

He told Gamespot that Assassin’s Creed: Origins, which is going to be marketed by Microsoft, will utilize the console’s capabilities. He also added that the company made a mistake when they bundled a Kinect to all Xbox Ones, which increased the price significantly as well.

„We did a deal with Microsoft on Assassin’s Creed: Origins, which is taking really good advantage of the power of the machine. We like very much what they are doing because instead of having a Kinect or something this time the industry went after more power for the machine, so more immersion, better AI, and overall better games. We like that because it means the industry will grow because the better the experiences, the more people want to have it. We think it has a good potential. If Microsoft is really behind it, it can do well.”

Guillemot has been similarly positive towards Nintendo, but when was the last time he supported Sony in the same way as its competition?

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
