George Orwell’s Animal Farm Is Getting A Game Adaptation!

We can hardly imagine his novel turned into a game… but there are a few brave developers.

We read on PCGamer that hogy Imre Jele (Bossa Studios founder), Jessica Curry (The Chinese Room co-founder), and Georg Backer (A Brave Plan founder) announced that they are turning Orwell‘s work into an „adventure-tycoon game, which will deliver Orwell‘s vision in an interactive format.” Andy Payne (Just Flight co-founder, former Mastertronic CEO), Kate Saxton (The Witcher and Hitman voice actor), and „other exceptional creative and technical talent” also are involved in the game’s development.

We’ll take the role of one of the animals just before the four-legged revolution, and we also „will follow their journey through the ups and downs of Animalism.” The quote regarding gameplay sounds intriguing, too: it „will combine story choices and the running of the farm into a consistent narrative, giving players a chance to experience the consequences of their decisions first hand.”

It will be a quite political title for PC and „other platforms,” going by the game’s website. Expect more details, including potentially the release window at a later date.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
