Horizon Zero Dawn Could Be Leaving PS Plus Soon?!

Although Horizon Zero Dawn can be played at 60 FPS on PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility, there have been rumours of a remaster for a long time…

It’s been a while since we last wrote about Horizon Zero Dawn, the Guerrilla Games game that started one of the most successful PlayStation franchises in recent years, with millions of sales behind it. However, Sony seems to have a surprise in store for the title. The announcement is said not to be long in coming.

Nothing is certain in this industry, but Aloy could return in a version with better graphics, updated to the current generation.

Eurogamer reports that Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition will disappear from PS Plus Extra. It’s a strange move,e considering it’s Sony’s own game. But based on rumours and previous similar moves, it makes sense. On May 21st, Aloy will no longer be available in the subscription service. And all of this could be due to a possible remaster.

Back in October 2022, we heard that PlayStation is working on a remake or remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn and a multiplayer spin-off of the series, according to some media reports. Since then, we have received no further information on the matter. According to rumours, Guerrilla is not even behind the remaster. However, it should be noted that Horizon Zero Dawn can already be enjoyed at 60 FPS on PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility. Along with this, of course, the appearance and performance of the game could be modernized.

Horizon Zero Dawn is leaving PS Plus sooner

This move is reminiscent of what happened with Marvel’s Spider-Man. The latter was dropped from PS Plus Extra last year because the second game arrived. At the time, it was said that this alleged Horizon remaster would feature improved textures and lighting, as well as animations similar to those seen in Horizon Forbidden West. Access options would also be on par with those seen in Sony’s latest titles, and there will likely be multiple graphics modes. Whatever it is, we are still waiting to find out if the news is accurate.
