Will 2018’s Call Of Duty Return To Modern Warfare?

Treyarch has hinted at something that could lead to this setting.

We already know that 2017’s Call of Duty will have a World War II setting – Sledgehammer’s title isn’t called WWII for no reason. However, three teams are rotating the Call of Duty license around, and next year, it’s Treyarch’s turn, who last made Black Ops III in 2015.

A job listing has surfaced on Activision‘s webpage, which offers a „System Designer” position. If you have a „deep knowledge base of firearms and modern military technology,” you’d be at an advantage.

Interestingly, Treyarch has not made a single modern setting Call of Duty game yet: they covered World War I, the Vietnam War, and the future. The last time we have seen a modern Call of Duty, it was in 2011 with Modern Warfare 3…
