On the PlayStation Store, Destiny 2 managed to become the best selling game ever on its launch day. Eric Hirshberg, the CEO of Activision, also said that its first week made it the #1 console game so far this year. However, they did not publish concrete numbers…
On Twitch, it also became the #1 console-exclusive game (which will change on October 24, as it arrives on PC that day), as it was watched for over 600 million minutes, including the two betas. After the first raid, Leviathan launched on October 13; it jumped to first place again.
As Destiny 2 has had over one million concurrent players for eight days in a row, there’s not much of a chance to see it fall off the face of Earth anytime soon!
