[PGW 2017] Trailer Avalanche, Part III [VIDEO]

…and we still have a lot to recap!

Paris Games Week’s conference had a Far Cry 5 trailer, introducing the co-op mode Friends for Hire, where only the host’s result are going to be saved. The musical choice isn’t the brightest idea, and the trailer itself looks… questionable, but it’s early to judge the game yet. It’s out on February 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Destiny 2’s first DLC, Curse of Osiris is launching on December 5. Quoting Activision, „Destiny 2 Expansion I: Curse of Osiris continues your Guardian’s journey with all-new story missions and adventures set in a new destination, Mercury. Journey through time and space to learn the secrets of Osiris, avert a dark future, and rebuild the ties between the legendary Warlock and his greatest student – Ikora Rey.”

Monster Hunter World will give several bonuses to PlayStation 4 owners. First, the PlayStation Plus subscribers will get a beta between December 9 and 12, and second, Capcom’s game will collaborate with Horizon: Zero Dawn. How? Guerilla’s game will be part of Monster Hunter World via Aloy’s bow and arrow, as well as the Palico armor, making our character look just like Aloy. Exclusive for PlayStation 4 owners! The game will launch on January 26 on PS4 and Xbox One, followed by a PC port later.

Call of Duty: WWII’s Carentan map got a trailer. We also learned how the first DLC pack will be called and when it will drop on PlayStation 4. The first DLC is going to be called The Resistance, and it will hit the PS4 first on January 30 (and then in late February/early March for X1 and PC). The game itself will arrive on November 3 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Codemasters and Deep Silver announced OnRush, an arcade racer. Quoting the press release, „Race, smash and takedown your opponents in Onrush, a refreshing break from the norm action/arcade racing. Dare to be reckless and win at all costs as you enter into Onrush, the world’s most celebrated and globally streamed, extreme sport.
Onrush catapults you into the heart of the action, as you chase down vehicles in vibrant, multi-layered, landscapes that will thrill, excite and encourage players to perform the most extravagant takedowns! Win as a team and defeat all to show the world you have what it takes to become the ‘Onrush Champion’.”
This game looks like MotorStorm… or Flatout a bit. It will launch next summer on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man got a video as well. The young (23-year-old) Peter Parker has it rough to navigate between his personal life and being a superhero. Unfortunately, the PlayStation 4-exclusive got no release date, just a number: 2018. Shame!

At least Detroit: Become Human revealed that Quantic Dream would release its PlayStation 4-exclusive game during next spring. Kara and Alice try to avoid using violence in the trailer below. David Cage’s style is present!

Someone, please silence Atreus! In God of War, Atreus, Kratos’ son, will fight alongside his dad… while keeps talking. A lot. Get used to it, folks, maybe we can. Oh, there’s no release date here, either – only early 2018 was displayed. It seems that Sony is preparing the dates for the PlayStation Experience…

As we talked a lot about the game and its DLC, just the usual: Horizon: Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds also got a trailer. The 20-dollar DLC will be available from November 7. Did Sony manage to keep the trademark for the game?

Soulpix announced a cinematic adventure game, Eden Tomorrow, for the PlayStation VR. „It is a new, story-driven sci-fi VR game with easily understandable yet challenging gameplay where the player has to prove their skills both in unraveling mysteries and timing. Eden Tomorrow catapults the player right into the heart of a strange cosmos: frightening creatures, cryptic riddles, abandoned places and the ever-present question: “what happened here?””, PlayStation Blog (https://blog.us.playstation.com/2017/10/30/eden-tomorrow-announced-help-an-amnesiac-his-robot-pal-escape-an-alien-planet/) writes. It’s never enough of sci-fi VR games!

Apex Construct by Fast Travel Games isn’t just coming to the PlayStation VR, as this action-adventure game is in development for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Microsoft Mixed Reality Headsets. „An action adventure game built exclusively for virtual reality gamers, Apex Construct is set in a shattered future where merciless robots prowl the world as a result of mankind’s reckless experiments. Equipped with an upgradable a bow and arrow, players will explore this world to uncover its secrets while defending themselves from the nightmare machines that dominate the world of tomorrow,” the overview says.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be usable with the PlayStation VR, and here’s a two-minute video of it in action. The dogfights will arrive in 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, after getting delayed to next year.

Rec Room is already available for the Rift/Vive duo, but Against Gravity, whose game only showed up in the PSVR sizzle trailer for a few seconds, will launch the virtual reality social hub game on the PlayStation VR this year, and it’s going to be free, just as on PC.

Although it wasn’t shown during Paris Games Week’s conference, Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier also got a trailer. The game is set between the 2014 and the 2017 movies, and we already wrote about it in detail, but we will repeat one thing: our decisions will kill off a few characters without a doubt…
