Tencent tries to put up a fight against PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

The Chinese giant, who tries to purchase the developers of PUBG, Bluehole, already received the rights to release the game in China, but they are also working on their battle royale game as well. It’s Europa, which drops one hundred players on an exotic island, which offers a changing weather system, and destructible environment. On Steam, it’s already there, although it’s currently in Mandarin Chinese only – however, there may be localization efforts if there’s enough interest. Daniel Ahmad on Twitter added that Europa runs on Tencent’s QuickSilver X engine, and it will receive a beta in late December.

Due to the destructible covers, Europa will offer something that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (at the moment) can’t do, and this feature makes the game something to keep an eye on, especially how it will also offer a real-time weather system. High-tech PUBG, made in China! Free-to-play launch in 2018 on PC.
