The LawBreakers editor justifies his low sales on the success of PUBG

The popularity of battle royale would have cost LawBreakers expensive in stores.

Since its launch last summer, the LawBreakers shooter has faced the fact that it attracted far less attention than Cliff Bleszinski, former director of the Gears of War series, expected. Bearing in mind that the game enjoys good acceptance in professional analysis as well as in its own players, the most obvious question is, “what has failed?” Shiro Uemura, president of Nexon, the videogame editor, thinks that the undoubted The success of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has diminished the degree of interest in the game.

“Our results in North America in the third quarter of the fiscal year are below our expectations, mainly due to the low sales of LawBreakers,” comments Uemura at a meeting of investors. “LawBreakers is a unique first person shooter developed for dedicated players. We had great expectations for its launch. ” However, the manager calls “unfortunate” the fact that its launch coincided fully with the rise of the battle royale par excellence PUBG. “It came out almost at once, making the market landscape difficult for all first-person shooters and for Lawbreakers.”

Despite these problems of distribution, the game has constant support from the team of CliffyB, who trust that the game goes up.
