The Burnout Developers Are Working On A New Game!

Criterion is already developing something different.

Without Criterion, we wouldn’t have played the Burnout series or several Need For Speed titles… but recently, the team was just in a support role for games like Battlefield Hardline or Star Wars: Battlefront II. However, the team is now working on „a brand new IP!”

One of their job opening is for a Lead Combat Designer, who is passionate about the action-adventure genre, interested in game physics, especially in „melee combat.” If you have experience in AAA game development, that is a plus… and even Criterion calls this unnamed game their biggest so far. (It’s not going to be a new Burnout… so it’s an action-adventure game with melee combat.)

They also look for a concept art director, as well as an environment artist with „experience in open world game production.” So it will also be an open world title, too!

Even though Criterion is not what it used to be when it worked on the Burnout games, we can’t wait to see what they come up with in the future.

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
