Without Michael Ironside, Sam Fisher wouldn’t be as an iconic character as he is today.
Previously, we wrote about how Ironside initially rejected Ubisoft’s offer to be Sam Fisher‘s voice, but after his character getting a bit of rewriting, he accepted the role. This topic is now discussed by Ubisoft (who is fairly suspicious nowadays with the Splinter Cell-overload, as Fisher, the protagonist of the franchise, also had a guest appearance in Ghost Recon: Wildlands…), where Ironside talks about how he created Fisher’s distinct voice.
He also goes into a bit of personal information where he talks about his battle against cancer. After he got diagnosed, he considered hanging up Sam’s traditional night vision goggles, but after defeating the disease, he returned to reprise his role.
We’d appreciate a Splinter Cell announcement at E3. You heard us, Ubisoft?
