GWENT Gets A Release Date, But There’s A Lot To Do

The next few months will have a lot of work for the developers.

CD Projekt RED announced that the next development phase, which will take roughly six months, is going to be called Homecoming. In the end, both GWENT, as well as its Thronebreaker campaign, should launch.

Thus, there will be only two updates during the Homecoming phase. One drops in April, bringing in the missing Premium cards and the faction-specific table skins, while in May, there will be balancing, as well as „a new approach to Create.” CD Projekt RED admitted that they drifted too far away from the original vision of GWENT, which is why they dubbed the next development phase Homecoming.

You can see a list of changes below. Indeed: there will be single-player in the game, which is regarding the Thronebreaker campaign. If there are no delays, GWENT should thus launch in October on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
