God Of War Has A Massive Easter Egg Reference To A Movie! [VIDEO]

SIE Santa Monica has hidden an extreme reference in their game to a recent movie. However, we wouldn’t like to spoil it, and if you want to play the game yourself, warning: there will be spoilers!

In God of War, with a little attention, you can transform Kratos into Thanos, one of the key characters in Avengers: Infinity War, a recent Marvel movie that has hit the cinemas.

The whole ordeal started out on Reddit: during the Family Business mission given by Sindri, you can find a talisman which is called Shattered Gauntlet of Ages. Its description also mentions six fragments, all of which are references to the Infinity Stones in the Marvel universe:

Andvari’s Soul – Soul Stone

Njord’s Temporal Stone – Time Stone

Eye of the Outer Realm – Space Stone

Ivaldi’s Corrupted Mind – Mind Stone

Asgard’s Shard of Existence – Reality Stone

Muspelheim Eye of Power – Power Stone

You just have to find three, and that already gives Kratos a new power: with a maxed out gauntlet, putting three into it, he will be able to shoot purple beams with his fist, which is obviously referencing Thanos from the Marvel movie.

We rarely see such a major easter egg, but Cory Barlog managed to pull it off!
