Aside from the release date we also got to know that the game will launch with some Switch-exclusive content.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas, Ubisoft‘s space game that was first announced at E3 2017 just got two new trailers this E3. You know, this is the game that you can only get with a physical copy of your in-game ship. Obviously the game is more expensive thanks to this, even the Starter Edition costs 75 dollars… and even then if you plan to expand your collection with new characters and ships, be prepared to spend more (anything between 8 and 25 dollars). Ubisoft is really hungry for money, it seems.

Because Ubisoft has a good relationship with Nintendo, there will be a Switch exclusive DLC for the Switch, more specifically a Star Fox based one. It will include the titular character who is also the main character and it will include some exclusive bonus missions as well. The release is quite close, we only have to wait till October 16th and then we can choose to play on either PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One or Switch.
