The game, developed by Remedy (Max Payne 1-2, Alan Wake, Quantum Break…), was formerly known as P7 or Project 7 until this point. It was revealed during Sony’s E3 conference.
„Control is Jesse Fadens’s story. The main plot focuses on her personal search for answers as she grows into the role of the Director. The world of Control has its own story, as do the allies Jesse meets along the way. Side-quests and Secrets are everywhere. Jesse works with other Bureau agents, decodes cryptic cyphers and discovers strange Bureau experiments,” the press release says.
It also mentions how the story will be set in a sprawling New York building with diverse environments and shifting architecture. Our playstyle will be flexible and supernatural, as Jesse will have supernatural abilities (that can be upgraded), and modifiable loadouts. There will also be dynamic environmental destruction, and we can even „master complex rituals” to alter our surroundings, where reality meets the unexplained.
Control will be published by 505 Games in 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. We have an announcement trailer, gameplay, and some screenshots. A weapon that can change its shape? A shield? Quantum Break-inspired elements? Yes!
