Star Wars: Battlefront II’s 2018 Roadmap Revealed

Although the game somewhat flopped due to the controversy around the loot boxes, Electronic Arts still supports last year’s Star Wars title.

In July, the game is going to receive a new game mode called Hero Starfighters. It is going to be a 4v4 PVP mode focusing on the hero ship battles. Also, heroes can enable/disable lightsabers at command, lightsaber blocking will cost stamina, the players can change their appearance before the round starts, and the hero showdowns will also see improvements.

In August (as well as in the Fall and Winter), the clone troopers will make an appearance; emotes and victory poses will be available for purchase with credits or crystals. In the autumn, two heroes (Obi-Wan Kenobi and Grievous) will arrive, a „new, large-scale mode” will be added to the game, a squad system will be implemented, and heroes will make appearances (they will do it in the Winter months, too). In the Winter, Dooku and Anakin Skywalker, as well as the Geonosis will arrive as new characters and location, respectively. There will also be matchmaking, daily challenges, map rotation improvements, bug fixing, as well as continuous balancing.

We still have to ask: isn’t it too late?
