MOVIE NEWS – Duncan Jones confirmed what he has been working on in the past few months.
Jones, who recently worked on the not-so-good Warcraft cinematic adaptation (which, according to him, was because of Blizzard’s fears, as well as the internal disruptions within Legendary Pictures), announced on Twitter that he is creating a film of one of the mainstays of the 2000 AD comic. (Rogue Trooper previously got a game adaptation in 2006 with a slightly updated re-release last year.) Jones added that he is not going to attend San Diego Comic-Con due to a „lot of work ahead.”
He already teased the announcement on Sunday with the Rogue Trooper hairdo. 2000 AD is also celebrating the announcement by giving away a digital comic for free – they are trying to get the vibes going for the movie, which isn’t too shabby of an idea.
Liberty Films, which is Jones’ production company, is now working on the genetically boosted supersoldier’s film adaptation, but don’t expect new information for a while, as there’s not even a launch window confirmed for it at the moment. Our guess would be a 2020 launch.

Lot of work ahead though, so we will NOT be at SDCC.
