Insomniac Games‘ next game has been completed.

The master disc has been finished somewhat early for its manufacturing (that’s what the „gold” term means), as we’re still roughly 1.5 months away from Spider-Man‘s launch. Perhaps they are making several hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of copies to have enough supply for the demand…

Still, the developers announced on Twitter with a Spider-Man meme image what the situation is: „We are pleased to announce that #SpiderManPS4 has GONE GOLD for its worldwide release on September 7th. Thanks to @PlayStation and @MarvelGames for their support in the creation of this original Spider-Man adventure.” The joke here that even Sony Interactive Entertainment Santa Monica, the developers of God of War, has responded with a Kratos GIF that you can see here.

Now, the developers can focus on the DLC for Spider-Man, or the almost 100% likely to happen day one patch for the game, which will launch on September 7 as a PlayStation 4-exclusive.
