Deck13‘s game wasn’t bad (which is why it’s getting a sequel), but for some unexplainable reason, it’s still getting expanded. Isn’t this approach going to impact the sequel?
The „sci-fi Souls clone” (because that’s what The Surge is) already got expanded last year with a theme park DLC, but the developers went a step further, probably to cash in on the Red Dead Redemption 2 hype.
The wild west-themed DLC is going to be called „The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented,” and it’s a reference to a classic Western movie. In the DLC, we’re in one of the CREO laboratories, where Dr Rischboter’s robots have gone wild thinking „they are part of a Wild West TV-show.” The DLC has sixteen modifiers (we can use four at the same time), and each level ends with a stronger boss called Challenger that gives us new armour, weapons, and implants. There are roughly thirty new items total.
There’s no pricing yet, but seeing how the previous DLC cost 15 dollars, it’s likely that „The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented,” launching on October 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, will follow suit.
