Project Stream: Streaming A Game Via Google’s Browser! [VIDEO]

Google gives a shot at streaming – is it the future?

If you are over seventeen, have US citizenship, as well as 25+ megabit Internet connection, you can try Project Stream soon in the United States if you register here. You might ask, what would Google try to stream?

The first game, possibly as a testing subject to see if it’s possible or not, would be Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. Indeed, it’s this year’s AC game! Ubisoft has teamed up with Google to see how much of a possibility is there to stream an AAA title over the internet into Google’s browser. (Remember, Yves Guillemot, the CEO of Ubisoft, previously said that streaming is the future for the company and that it will become a trend.)

Project Stream will require more than Google Chrome 69 or higher or a robust Internet connection – you will also need a Google and a Ubisoft account, as well as either a mouse or a DualShock 4/Xbox One/Xbox 360 controller; they are recommended for the controls.

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey also got a Project Stream video below. The testing might be too early, but it has to start somewhere…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
