Who expected THQ Nordic, the publisher of Darksiders III, to go into somewhat unexplainable marketing?
ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) videos are popular nowadays on Youtube. These allow the viewers/listeners to be relaxed (or even hypnotised to an extent), and THQ Nordic thought it would be a fantastic idea if they took some of their money and teamed up with Ruby True, a Twitch streamer/body painter, for a series of five videos, featuring the game. True looks like Fury, and the first video, which is about „relaxation techniques,” is already available on YouTube. Each weekday this week, at 11 AM Pacific, the next episode will show up. Let’s say that this marketing strategy is beyond us…
Gunfire Games‘ game had it its intro cinematic revealed as well. It might not be long (clocking out at three minutes), but it’s far more useful to get used to the Darksiders tone than the ASMR video. It gives us a taste of hacking and slashing due to the game being not so far away.
Darksiders III will launch on November 27, in one week, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
