Heavy Rain is More Gloomy Than Ever Thanks to the Raytracing [VIDEO]

The rendering technique stands out especially in the rainy title of Quantic Dream: Heavy Rain.

The dark and spooky Heavy Rain delivers graphics quality chest under the raytracing algorithm, which adds a new level of realism in the behaviour of light on all surfaces of the game. And in a title where it rains as much as in this one, where the streets are dotted with puddles and the nocturnal lighting of the cities is a constant, it supposes a spectacle of reflections and flashes.

Enjoying this game with this demanding visual option introduces remarkable changes. The video shared by this fan shows how some of the alleys of the city acquire a new dimension since the improvement of the illumination makes the light of the streetlamps reach more distant objects, improving the sensation of being in a real space, but without break the mysterious general atmosphere of Heavy Rain. But not only the streets of the city acquire realism, but also the interior spaces are more oppressive and disturbing.

Heavy Rain will be available for PC users next June 27, and will soon be joined by Beyond and Detroit. Do not forget to check Quantic Dream’s future games now that they do not work with Sony anymore.
