MOVIE NEWS – Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have ended their relationship after nearly three years, while the singer and actress prepares for a world tour, a new album and the release of Focker In-Law.
Love can indeed be a dark pit, and Ariana Grande may now have learned that first-hand: after nearly three years, her relationship with Broadway star Ethan Slater has officially come to an end. The two reportedly said goodbye to each other months ago, but the breakup has only now been made public.
Their romance drew major attention when they fell in love on the set of the musical Wicked three years ago. Ariana is currently focusing on her world tour and her new album Petal, while also continuing to build her film career. Ethan, meanwhile, still sees his future primarily as a star of stage productions. Their choices point toward two very different lifestyles, which may be one reason they are no longer continuing together.
Grande will return to cinemas this autumn in the comedy Focker In-Law, after already conquering the music industry. In the story, she plays a fiery bride who struggles to live up to the expectations of her future father-in-law, played by Ben Stiller, while fitting much more naturally into the peculiar worldview of the still completely paranoid former CIA agent grandfather, played by Robert De Niro.
(Focker In-Law – release date: November 26, 2026.)
