Big O: The Bridge Between A PC And A Console!

Origin PC has found a solution on how to bring the two platforms under one roof.

Big O is for the platform-agnostic players, as within a PC case, we can find either an Xbox One S All-Digital Edition or a PlayStation 4. No, not just by lazily dumping the console in its case into the PC case, but by putting its internals inside (and it’s easier with Microsoft’s console, as it lacks a Blu-ray drive). And it’s the third hybrid gaming PC, as Origin PC has previously made something similar with an Xbox 360, and there was a recently updated model, too.

Let’s see what the PC hardware could be by default:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K
  • Motherboard: ASRock Z390M Pro4
  • Cooling: Origin Frostbite 120 all-in-one liquid cooler
  • RAM: 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance, 3000 MHz
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1660 Super
  • Storage: 240GB Corsair Force MP510 M.2 NVMe SSD
  • PSU: 450W Corsair SFX series
  • Operating system: Windows 10 Home

…all in a modified Corsair Crystal 280X case.

We wrote by default for a good reason: you can even customise the hardware. You can replace the CPU even with an Intel Core i9-9900K or an AMD Ryzen 9 3950X, you can have as much as 64 GB of memory, and the GPU can be swapped to a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or even an RTX Titan. You can even request a more complex water cooling solution.

The price is 2427 USD by default if you ask for the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. The PlayStation 4 Pro variant is 2573 dollars. And there’s some space on the right side of the case to host an Elgato 4K60, which is a solid capture card to record and stream what you play. Interestingly, you can even use the Big O for local multiplayer: „With the power of PC and console cross-play, you can even play with a friend locally using Big O.” (You can use multiple monitors – one for PC, one for the console!)

This is outstanding. You can read more here.
